Mr Strong is number 26 in the MR Men collection. He is square in shape and is red and he wears a green hat. The cover of the book is white with a picture of Mr Strong and the title in black letters above this and the back cover is also white and has smaller pictures showing the other characters available in the collection. THE STORY The book begins by telling us that Mr Strong is the strongest person in the whole world. He is so strong that not only can he bend an iron bar he can also tie a knot in it. Mr Strong is the 26th of the popular Mr Men children's books written and illustrated by Roger Hargreaves. The books were a favourite of mine when I was a child, and now my son loves them as well. The author started writing them in 1971 after his son asked him what a tickle looked like and he drew it, resulting in the first book in the series, Mr Tickle. Mr Strong is a red square shape, with a small green hat. In the story, we are told that he can bend an iron bar and put a knot in it, and throw a cannonball like we could throw a bouncy ball. Mr Strong is a red square shaped character that oozes strength. He has a green hat perched on his had and always has a broad smile on his face.
