Advantages: quick, easy and less fat than most cake

Disadvantages: eating too many of them!

This is one of the best and easiest recipe books it has ever been my pleasure to cook from. The book starts off with some excellent notes on muffin making in general and explanations on the results when using other flours/fats etc.

There are 30 recipes to choose from with suggestions for many variations. The muffins use much less fat and sugar than traditional recipes so you can indulge without feeling guilty and they are also inexpensive to make.

The instructions are clear and very easy to follow, the method couldn’t be simpler you add the wet ingredients to they dry ones, mix, put in tins and then oven baking for approximately 20 minutes, resulting in a delicious batch of muffins every time. Our favourites are Apple Spice, Peach and Gingerbread.

This gem of a book is suitable for all ages and abilities; you don’t need to be a cordon bleu chef to get fantastic results every time.
