... in my opinion was terrible. It usually takes me about 3-4 days to read a good or average book; this one took me 14 days. I kept picking it up and reading a little in the hope it would somehow get better sadly it didn't. When I finally finished it I felt like celebrating my achievement. Background: I recently had a few days away in wet Torquay. I stayed in a Guest House and found this book amongst many others in their Lounge. Having read the introduction I thought I would give this one a try, especially as it was another rainy day and there seemed little else to do. About the Author: Veronica Heley is a very successful novelist. She was born in 1933and so far in her writing career has written a total of 59 books. She either writes crime or historical novels.
