I read this on a long flight and if I tell you I sat on a plane of strangers with tears running down my face you can get an idea of how it affected me. If I also tell you that after reading this I then went back and read Koomson's previous books I think thats a pretty strong positive review!

The book tells the story of how Kamryn's ex best friend comes back into her life when she needs the ultimate favour from her.. and after committing the ultimate betrayal of sleeping with her boyfriend.

It deals with themes that we can all identify with, love, friendship, death, betrayal.. but does so in an unique way whilst focusing on the challenges Kamryn faces taking on Adele's little girl and the growing bond between the two of them.

Koomson writes characters who are not perfect but you cant help taking them to your heart. Once the book was finished I felt a little bereft.. like I'd been left by some close friends.
