I love reading to my little niece and nephew when I get the chance, I have no kids of my own yet and no real plans for it either but I do love looking after other peoples. The other day when my little niece was over to stay she brought a book with her from her nursery library. The book she brought over was called My cat and the author is Jonathan Allen, this is not a new book by any stretch of the imagination and it in fact was written way back in 1988 but it is a great little story and one of my nieces favourites so far. Harry has always rather liked animals so as you may or may not know, we got him a kitten at the end of July whom he named Magic, and the pair are still quite smitten with each other! Ever since then, Harry's had an obsession with all things cat-related, even screeching out "It's Magic's food!" when we walk past the Whiskas in Sainsburys! So when he saw this book in the library, I knew it'd be one we would be taking home with us, and its become his firm favourite book of the moment!
