I am not a Manchester United fan, I am a spurs fan and a passionate lover of football. I bought this book because I had a vague interest in his life and wanted to know more about the lives of one of the 1966 world cup winners. I have just finished reading Sir Bobby Charlton's autobiography - My Manchester United Years. In some ways this was a bit of an unusual read for me but I was given it as a present by someone knowing that I love reading autobiographies. I'm also a bit of an armchair fan of Manchester United but I can't say that I know very much about football. However, I've always had a liking for Bobby Charlton so I was interested to find out a little more about his life.
