My mum's going to explode is a fabulous children's book written by Jeremy Strong that deals with the issues a young child may face when finding out their mum is pregnant. Nicholas is ten and lives at home with his mum, Brenda, dad, Ronald, Granny and her husband Lancelot who is a Hell's Angels biker. One evening when they're all sat around the tea table his mum suddenly says, "I'm pregnant". His dad spills his tea in his lap, his granny goes stiff when after asking mum to repeat what she'd said, she's a little deaf, think she's said she has Rabies and Nicholas isn't quite sure what to do.
