The Famous Five: Five Go Off to Camp - Enid Blyton

Premium Review Famous Five camp out on the moors (263 words)
by pmcds - written on 07/07/08 (Very useful, 31 readings)
Rating:

Five Go Off To Camp is the seventh book in the series of 21 books by Enid Blyton featuring the Famous Five. The books are considered some of the greatest children s books ever, and certainly hold a special place in my heart. The Famous Five are Julian, Dick and Anne Kirrin, their cousin George (Georgina) Kirrin and her dog Timmy. Five Go Off To Camp sees them spend their summer holidays camping on the moors accompanied by one of their teachers, Mr Luffy. Strange noises in the night as well as mysteriously guarded train tracks and old trains that apparently are not in use any more prompt the Five to delve into yet another adventure, full of even more secret passages and ...

The books each follow the same format. The five get back together for one of the school holidays and either reside at George s parents home or go off on their own somewhere. For ...

Rating:

Five Go Off In A Caravan is the fifth book in the series of 21 penned by Enid Blyton. This book was originally published in 1946, and gthe copy I have was printed in 1985. The books hold a special place in my heart and I must have read them all a dozen or so times each. The Famous Five are Julian, Dick and Anne Kirrin, their cousin George (Georgina) Kirrin and her dog Timmy. This is the fifth adventure, and the children are allowed by George s parents to go caravanning for the school holidays. On their travels they meet up with a travelling circus, in particular Nobby, the circus boy, and his chimp Pongo. The Five fall into adventure when they set their caravans up next ...
