Advantages: Great plot. Excelllent character development

Disadvantages: not to everyones taste

As this is the second manga in the series i will not worry about spoiling information from the first. This book continues right where the first left off. In this story Naruto and his team have become tired of doing only D-rank missions such as finding missing dogs and cats. This sees naruto demanding the Hokage sends the team on a more challenging mission, the hokage agrees and allows naruto to do a harder mission.

This story sees naruto and his team travel to the wave country on an escort mission to protect the bridge builder Tazuna. As you may be expecting, this mission turns out not to go to plan, the wave country could not afford the protection for a harder mission and lie to trick the ninja into protecting them.

This story arc develops the excellent characters set out in the first book into the characters i now love. It sees the trio really develop and reveals for the first time, many of their fighting techniques as well as revealling many interesting points about them.

Throughout this volume naruto begins to form connections with many people within the story world and changes from the lonely boy he once was. This is also where I formed my fondness of the character and it is done really well.

The translation is good and the drawing is excellent.

This is the point at which i really got into this comic as it contians some excellent fighting and hints and the great things in store.

Overall I would highly reccommend this to anyone who liked the interested as for many this is the book that will sway you to naruto.
