Naruto Vol. 1 - Masashi Kishimoto

I am not entirely sure why but this title seems to have made a huge impact on the western world in recent years. Every anime fan whom has emerged in the last three years or so has highly rated this manga but more specifically the anime series despite the fact to an anime veteran like myself it just seems like a typical shonnen jump anime (typical long running manga producer who makes long running boys manga such as dragon ball and yu gi oh). Naruto Vol. 4 - Masashi Kishimoto

As in previous reviews I reccomend starting with volume one of the story. In this volume we see the characters come face to face with what it really means to be a ninja. When Naruto watches his team mate sasuke die trying to save him from Hakus bloodline limit technique we see for the first time the epic power contained within him, the chakra of the nine tailed demon fox. When the seal holding the nine tails within him becomes weakend by the emotional distress of seeing Sasuke killed, chakra begins to escape and naruto takes his one tail form. This is a great way to introduce to us the power that naruto holds within him and also throws the reader on an rollercoaster ...
