This summer I got a job as an playscheme worker working on a one to one basis with children who have special needs. One of the children that I was working with had epilepsy. I have known people who have epilepsy, but I have never actually known what epilepsy is. I went to the local library and I discovered this book- Epilepsy.

This book on epilepsy be picked up and read by anyone who wants to read about different aspects from what is epilepsy to looking after your self with epilepsy.

I then bought this book because it is very detailed and I found it to be very detailed and it also has great pictures to accompany the text that is written in this book. At the beginning of the chapters in the book, it gives you a brief description of what is in the chapter, with key words that are highlighted in black. Then the author of the book goes in to that subject in a lot of detail covering all the key words that are bold.

This book has 10 chapters which are:-

What is epilepsy?
Types of epilepsy and seizures
Causes of epilepsy and triggers of seizures
How to help yourself
Conventional treatments
The natural therapies and epilepsy
Treating your body
Treating your mind and emotions
Energy treatments and other therapies and also
How to find and chose a natural therapist.

I have decided to concentrate on the chapters/ section of the book with a star (*) next to it.

A superb op. I sometimes find it hard to understand epilepsy as it is such a variable condition. I tend to care for those in status which is really frightening. Well done!
