Advantages: extremely entertaining.

Disadvantages: very difficult to put down.

Necroscope, what does this name/title/word mean to you? absolutely nothing? thought so... it meant the very same to me while i was serving with the HM Forces in Germany. I found i had a lot of time on my hands so i took a trip to the Camp library, and what a discovery, the cover of the first book in the series, Necroscope, filled my mind with images of horror and intrigue, of monsters and other fairytale creatures, so i got it out, and boy am i glad. I then discovered that there were more books and this was the first in a series.... i couldnt believe my luck, and still cant.
For those of you who dont know what a necroscope is, it is a person who can communicate with the dead, becoming a friend to the great masses and sharing secrets long taken to the grave, imagine the belief that what you do in life, you do in death, only theory is all you have, you have no physical being to make your ideas practical, so great architects will dream up more stable, ornate and grand buildings, and mathematicians better formulaes, more stable conundrums and metaphysical equations.... all of which would be a great asset to the people above ground, and now there is someone who can unlock those secrets, a speaker for the voice for the teeming dead, these novels follow this necroscopes trials and tribulations through life and beyond... and his name.. Harry Keogh.. will stick in my mind forever.
The imagery in this book is such that if you have even the slightest of imaginations at all, you will see, as well as feel and know every word, scapes, be they alien or real, will emerge from the murky depths of oyur mind, faces appear and dissappear, situations come and go, some too close to home...
This series of books deals well with the genre it is placed into and will keep even the least avid of readers hooked, for a very long time, Bian Lumley uses real situations in history as a basis for his stories and happenings which brings the books to life and gives an exceedingly
deep account of everything that is going on, at all times in the novels.......
Each book in the series ties in so closely and interweaves between the previos so well that even if you read the second book in the series first, you will have a good idea of the plot in the previous so it doesnt matter where you start, entertainment is guaranteed,
to summarise, if you havent already read one of Brian Lumleys books, start at the start, and you will never look back. guaranteed.

Can't say I've ever heard of this, but it does sound interesting. As madlads35 says, it'd look better if you used a blank line to separate your paragraphs :)
