Advantages: A good enough sequel

Disadvantages: I felt that it was pretty boring

This review would have been written yesterday, but, as I mentioned on my profile, I was feeling a little bit under the weather, and not only that I was totally sleep deprived, I went back to sleep after I got my brother off to school, and I ended up being in bed for over 12 hours! Not only that, but last night, I had planned everything I was going to do today, and then guess what happened... I became very wheezy and I had to try and get my inhaler, but I didn't have any, I was really, really close to having another asthma attack. So if you think I wasn't ill then please describe what you think ill is!

I am sorry that I have already attacked this review with my problems, but it helps me write a good review, and I don't really want to make this review bad!

I got this book, in a catalogue with the other 3 books in the series! The catalogue was Scholastic catalogue, and I usually get a load of books from that catalogue because they are so cheap! Take these 4 books for example. Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse are £6.99 each, and Breaking Dawn (Hard Back) is £12.99, meaning the RRP for all 4 books is £33.96. I got all 4 books for only £14.99, I think it said it was half price in the catalogue, but I think it was a little less than half price. Anyhow I thought it was a bargain, so I told all my friends, and they wanted them as well, in the end I had to order 20 sets, and I had about over £100 in my bag! As the catalogue is from school, so I have to order it through there!

You may be a bit surprised to see how I have down-graded this book compared to the preceding book: "Twilight" (which I rated 5 stars), but you'll see why I have a bit later on, but a main reason was that it didn't interest me that much, and I sort of read slower, which means I didn't enjoy it that much!

The story follows on from Twilight, it has been a few months since the end of twilight, but it still felt the same day, as if nothing had changed. But then Edward starts being weird and everything, and ends up telling Bella he has to leave, and how he doesn't love her anymore. Poor Bella is struck by lightning (well not literally) as her heart brakes in two. She becomes a nobody, a whole complete lifeless nobody, and no amount of acting skills would be able to bring her back.

She ends up going to see Jacob. And, yet again, they become close friends. But Bella is always getting herself into trouble, so Jacob ends up telling her one BIG secret, and now she knows 2 BIG secrets and everything is getting out of hand. When all of a sudden, Victoria and Laurent turns up in town, they are going to kill Bella. A mate for a mate, that sort of thing, just to hurt Edward, but how will this all work out?

I can't really say I enjoyed this. Okay well I enjoyed it to a certain extent, hence the 4 star rating, but it doesn't mean I loved it really good. I didn't like how it made me read the whole book really, really slowly. This was unlike "The Host" which made me read slowly as I never wanted to finish the book. This one was pretty boring compared to the intense "Twilight", I wasn't as much struggling through it, I was just thinking that this is supposed to be a vampire series, and so when the vampires disappear, it just throws the reader off balance and make them uncomfortable.

Every time a vampire cam into the picture, whether it being, Edward, Alice, Victoria or Laurent, it didn't matter, it just happened to quicken my reading pace as if I'm addicted to vampires or something, and therefore I really struggled reading this book.

I am officially not stating that this is a bad sequel, on the contrary! I am saying it is a really good sequel, if you compared it to another sequel, however it wasn't the right sequel for me as it took me off my natural reading pace and made me unhappy and bored reading it.

I am pretty exhausted now from typing this long, and I know that I have missed a few things out, but I really don't want to use up all my energy, I'm still getting over what I had yesterday, whether it being a bug, or a cold or something I don't know. Anyway, thank you for reading and I'd be grateful if you rated and commented, thank you!

Hi there- good review but I feel that there is no need to insert the first paragraph- they are nothing to do with the book itself. It is good to insert personal stuff, only if its related to the product you're reviewing.

There is plenty of opportunity for action in these books but she always chooses to focus more on the romance... Great review :)
