Dinosaurs Love Underpants - Claire Freedman
by azana - written on 24/04/09 (Very useful, 141 readings)
Rating:
of the dinosaurs was their love of underpants. The humour of this book is bound to appeal to preschoolers and won t disappoint fans of the first book by Claire Freedman and Ben Court. The rhyming prose of the story ensures that it jogs along quite nicely, with lines like "It all began when cavemen, felt embarrassed in the nude, so someone dreamt up underpants, to stop them looking rude." The illustrations of pant obsessed dinosaurs (you really just have to go with this idea, honest), are colourful and beautifully drawn. I think we can excuse the book for the anachronism of dinosaurs stealing cavemen s pants, I am sure my five year old can learn later that ...

Rating:
independently very easy. This book is the follow on book to Aliens love underpants, we have not read this one but after my boys enjoyed this one so much I will definitely be looking out for it. This book has also won the Richard and Judy s Children book award. The book was written by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort and was published by Simon and Schuster. The retail price for the book is £5.99 but I picked up our copy for £4 in Tesco. This is definitely a fun book for children of all ages to ...

I have always thought that stories should play a major part in a child's upbringing and, thankfully, my son really enjoys books but he's not yet at the stage where he'll sit still enough for a long, engrossing tale. As a result, the books that are the biggest hits are those which are either interactive or short with good illustrations. Finding short books that are engaging has proved remarkably hard and I really struggled to find a good "going to bed" book to help my son understand about going to sleep and winding down for the night. Thank goodness for "A Kiss Goodnight". "A Kiss Goodnight" is less of a story book and more of a collection of ...
