It's the year of the Silver Jubilee and The Yorkshire Ripper is abroad putting the fear of god into working girls up and down the county. Copper Bob Fraser begins to suspect that more than one killer is at large but finds himself hampered by his superiors and his relationship with one of the Chapelfield prostitutes.
