I bought the book The Old woman and the Pumpkin by Jessica Souhami from the charity shop for my grandchildren. I paid 20p the RRP on the back of the book is £10.99p This book is suitable for key stage 1 or 2. Children between 4 and 7 years old, This story is a traditional southern Asian story. It has elements of the Red riding hood story we know. In this story though is about the grandma, who is frail, all skin and bones she is visiting the granddaughter who lives the other side of the forest. The forest is full of fierce hungry animals.
