This is the 28th novel by daniella steel, it was first published in 1991 retailing at £4.99

This book is based on a moment in history everyone has heard of and no one will ever forget, the sinking of the titanic.

On her maiden voyage the titanic was carrying edwina winfield who had been to england to celebrate her engagement with her family.

On board the ship was edwina, her husband to be, her mother, father and 5 siblings.

When the titanics disaster strikes edwina and her siblings make it on to a life boat and survive but unfortunatley her husband to be, mother and father are not so lucky, they died as a result of the titanic disaster.

suddenly edwina finds herself grieving for the man she loved and was planning to spend the rest of her life with aswell as her mother and father. At the same time as this she had to become overnight mother to 5 children.

Read this book to hear about edwinas 12 year struggle to raise her 5 siblings aswell as trying to piece the tatters of her broken heart back together and begin again on her own.

This is the first thing i have ever read about the titanic that showed the suffering of the survivors who were all too soon forgotten after the event.

This is a fantastic book, one of her best in my oppinion.

Summary: this book is realy worth reading
