WOW!
What a great story.

It is a tale of the Winfield family who go onboard the Titanic and obviously the ship sinks. The tale is told in such a way that it makes you feel that you are apart of the story and you really get inside the minds of the characters.

It starts telling you about each character and what they are like and why they are on the voyage. Edwina is the main character in this book but the others are by no means lessened because of it as they all play a integral part in the telling of the book.

Main hints.
Edwina and her family go to England to visit her aunt and uncle, to invite them to Edwinas wedding later that year.
The family then board the Titanic to go home to San Francisco which is where the story really takes off.
The titanic sinks and the story unfolds telling you of all the heartbreak the family are feeling at this point. I am trying not to give anything away as it really is a great story and you will need a big box of tissues to get through it. I found it harrowing in places and heartwarming in others and amusing at times too.

Edwina as I say is the star in this book and she finds herself in charge of her 5 brothers and sisters.
George, James, Teddy, Alexis, and Fannie.
Having to bring them up on her own, she fights through many trials and suceeds in getting them through school and furthering their careers leaving no time for her own life. Which of course was ended on the Titanic as far as she was concerned.
There are twists and turns all through the book and it is a riviting read. Telling not only Edwina's story but the rest of the familys as well I would thoroughly reccommend it to my friends as I have indeed done already.
Go get it out of the library and give it a read you will love it.

Danielle Steel in my opinion is one of the best writers of this type of fiction there is.

Summary: A grreat read and so well written you think yourself in the book too.

Sounds like a new twist on her usual formula.
