Advantages: good grusome read
Disadvantages: only a short book
This another Richard Laymon classic book and is 375 action packed pages.
The book follows two sets of people whose paths will eventualy merge at the end of the story.
Rick is trying to fight his fear of the great outdoors and agrees to go on a hiking trip in the great outdoors to Fern lake with his newish girlfriend Bert who loves the outdoor life.
Gillian is a strange woman who spends her spare time breaking into peoples homes who are on vacation and sleeps in their beds and eats food from their kitchen.
Gillian finds people are usualy helpful about letting her know when they will return home by marking it on their calender thus allowing her to use their homes with the knowledge that she will not be disturbed unfortunatly she chooses the wrong house to break into this time.
Fredrick Holden is a predator and serial killer, he has a rule though he never kills anyone near to his own home and travels long distances in order to avoid detection.
This book is up to Laymons usual standard so if you have read any of his other books you will know what to expect, a bit like Dark Mountain and Darkness tell us so if you enjoyed those books you will enjoy this.
Lots of blood and gore and also sexual references.
I enjoyed this book, a good read.
Summary: good read
