Given that my first degree was in politics and philosophy, I always thought it was pretty scandalous how little I knew about Marx (he was the subject of my very first tutorial, but not something I'd studied since). I decided I'd rectify things by attending G. A. Cohen's Masters class on Hegel and Marx this spring and, consequently, set about re-reading The Communist Manifesto.
