Want to expand your literary expertise? Impress people with your range of reading and scholarly tastes? Tried to take down a leviathan classic but gave up and went back to Marian Keyes? David Bader's One Hundred Great Books in Haiku is a godsend for anyone who likes the idea of finally taking Don Quixote down off the shelf, but finds the process a little tougher to chew on. Actually, it was One Hundred Years of Solitude for me. I had every good intention of reading it, and still do, but I always seem to fall about ninety-nine years short, and miss out on rather a lot of solitude.
