Wouldn't you like to hear from your departed loved ones, just one last time? So you know they're safe and well for you to see again and are not lost forever? Maybe you just want more of an insight into the world of psychic mediumship or are just a curious bored housewife like myself! If so, this book will be an enlightening experience for you.

I thought I might add my own experience and what made me buy the book in the first place, before I started.

~~~~~~~My Recent Experience~~~~~~~~
As some of you may be aware, my mother in law died from lung cancer in June of last year. My recent visit from her I believe came on my birthday, June 20th. I wanted to go to this lovely little pub close by which had a small restaurant attached. Steve asked me to book a table, even though it was a Thursday and usually quiet, just in case.
And he said something that was completely out of character. He said to ask for a big 8 seater table as he said he didn't like the 4 seater ones. I didn't really think much of it other than it was a quite a strange request for him. When I phoned to book I didn't dare ask for a big table as it was too cheeky for me! When we arrived at the restaurant, the manager said that they'd had a late booking for nine people and so didn't have any small tables left. They would have to sit us all alone on an 8 seater table.
I immediately knew it was his mum. Trust me, space is at a premium in this restaurant and so for this to happen was completely bizarre. She was letting us know that she was with us on that special day.
~~~~~~~~Why I Bought The Book~~~~~~~~

After her death I began to think about where it is we actually go when we leave this fair land. I used to be of the thinking that once we died, that was it. There was nothing for dessert, it was all too romantic for me to believe that anything else could possibly exist beyond our understanding. Then fl
icking through the satellite channels as you do on a miserable wet day I came across the Living Channel and a programme called Crossing Over. It was hosted by a chap called John Edward, who was a medium.

He claimed, not that he could talk to the spirits but rather the spirits used him as a form of contact to speak to their loved ones. I sat glued to the television. I couldn't take my eyes off him, he was amazing. It was basically a group reading, with him passing on messages to his audience.

Admittedly I didn't really believe what he was doing and thought that the whole show must be fixed in some way. But the speed with which he gave this information was awesome and I just had to find out more.

I did a search on Amazon.co.uk and came across a selection of books he had written. One that stood out to me was One Last Time. I wanted answers to my questions and hoped this would be it.

~~~~~~~~The Book ~~~~~~~~~~
This book is a true story and an account of John's life thus far. He is very highly acclaimed and one of the worlds leading psychic mediums. He began to have psychic experiences when he was just four years old. Gradually over time he has managed to develop this amazing power into what it is today.
To give you an example of his popularity, if you would like a private reading with John you would have to wait three years such is the length of the waiting list. He conducts seminars and workshops all over America, which are sold out in an instant.
He has appeared on television and in the media all over the world, and has made two videos on how to become more in tune with your own natural psychic ability, as well as other books and audio cassettes.
The book is a collection of stories from his experiences with his clients. All are verifiable, giving surnames where relevant. It isn't quite an autobiography but he does explain in great detail his past and events that
have happened to him in order for him to be where he is today.
He explains exactly what his ability is, how he has learnt to 'tune-in' to the pictures and voices that he constantly hears and sees and how to interpret them into their true meaning. It was around 1am when I was reading this and I couldn't put the book down as he was describing how he hears sounds, sees images and feels thoughts and sensations thrust into his mind from 'The Other Side'.
So much that he said hit a nerve with me. Knowing who was on the phone before I answered it; knowing exactly when it was going to ring, that kind of thing. I'm not a true believer, don't get me wrong. I am still in no-mans-land, searching for information along the way.
It is clear from the book that he wouldn't be where he is today without his Guides. It is said that we all have a Guardian Angel. Indeed I have come across one myself; they have made themselves be known to me on two occasions, both just before I stepped out in front of oncoming traffic that I did not see. These Guides led him down the path that he has taken in his work as a Medium and have helped him develop his skills.
John invites us to open our minds to the clues and signs all around us, every day. He explains in great detail how a spirit, just to get a message across to a loved one, can manipulate certain events. We may receive these messages every day but dismiss them as 'coincidence', or may not pick up on them at all.
The experiences with his clients that he relives for us are quite remarkable. It would be an injustice to try and give you an overview of those stories here as you need to read each in its entirety to understand it fully. It is difficult to believe anything other than this remarkable man is telling the truth.
Indeed I was reduced to tears on more than one occasion as I was reading at what lengths spirits will go to, to comfo
rt their loved ones. Maybe I'm just being another bag of chemicals they call a female!
This book is very easy to read and is not full of scientific arguements against his work. It's just about him sharing his experiences as well as teaching us a little about what he does. We're left to make up our own mind.
~~~~~~~Final Thoughts ~~~~~~~

So I urge you to at least watch his programme first. If you read the book without seeing him at work, it will not have as much meaning. This weekend (13/14th July) is Paranormal Weekend on Living TV, and you will be able to see him at work throughout the day. If you are as curious as I was after seeing the show, then I recommend you purchase the book. Trust me, the way you think about life will change dramatically, it certainly did for me.

Whether you're a believer or a sceptic I'm sure you'll find it a fascinating read and hey, when we get up there I would hate to have to say 'I told you so'!

Thanks for reading
Louise :o)
