I have brought every book that Tasmina Perry has written so far and will continue to so in the future. I've still yet to finish her second book Golddiggers, which was not as easy to get into as her others. I think Original Sin is one of her best novel so far, it has a girly pink glamorous cover.

The Asgill family own a multimillion dollar cosmetic company and the Billington's are a political family from old money.



Tabloid editor Tess Garett is hired by Meridith Asgill, to be the family's personal publicist. Brooke Asgill is due to marry David Billington, but there's risk of the wedding not going ahead if the Asgill's family's secrets and antics are revealed. The biggest scandal surrounding the Asgill's is the death of a young Hollywood actress called Olivia Martin, back in 1964 who disappeared after Meredith's wedding. Meridith's late husband Howard Asgill is thought to have something to do with Olivia Martin's disappearance. There were rumours that Howard may have even murdered the actress, though a body was never found. Meredith's son Sean Asgill is known as a playboy and his antics are set to destroy the family's name. Tess meets Sean Asgill after his latest spell in rehab and takes an instant dislike to him. Tess's opinion of Sean changes as she spends more time with him. Tess then begins to question whether the money and the perks of the job are really that important.
