Thomas Cook European Rail Summer Timetable (Other travel guides...)
Advantages: Very comprehensive, clear information Disadvantages: None!
For anyone going inter-railing this summer, this book is an absolute must. Running to a hefty 544 pages, it lists all rail timetables and some bus and ferry timetables for very nearly every country in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. The timetables are (usually) easy enough to follow; each route is given a separate number and marked on a map at the start of each country's section, so you know exactly where to look for times between your destinations.
