Outcast by Michelle Paver. Having read the first three in the series as soon as this one came out I raced through it and was amazed. I had enjoyed Soul Eater so much I didn't think anything could better it. But this does. From the first page I found myself in a world of friendship, survival and the need to belong. This book, like the others, doesn't disappoint. Michelle Paver was born in central Africa but came to England as a child.
