The story follows Torak, a young boy living in Prehistoric Europe. Torak bears the mark of a soul eater and for this the clans outcast him. Alone and frightened Torak and wolf hurry though the forest to try and find a way of proving Toraks innocence.

Outcast by Michelle Paver. Having read the first three in the series as soon as this one came out I raced through it and was amazed. I had enjoyed Soul Eater so much I didn't think anything could better it. But this does. From the first page I found myself in a world of friendship, survival and the need to belong.
