What is it? is the first stage 2 book from the Snapdragons collection, which is part of the Oxford Reading Tree. It's available as part of the set of six Snapdragons books, or you can buy it individually from places like Amazon for £3.75. What is it? Is a little story about a couple of aliens who come across a lamp. They get hold of the lampshade, and try it out to see if it's a variety of things from a hat to a seat. Eventually they knock the light switch and the lamp comes to life. So obviously, the aliens run off crying "It's an alien!" It's an amusing little story that's quite simply written.
