This 468 page book began with intrigue, suspence, and style. The story line was one of Grishams best. The entie way through I felt like I knew the characters, which I love about books. All that changed when I reached the end. At the very end of the book one character did something, that so wasn't who she was, that it ruined the entire book. ... Read the complete review

Well the next Grisham book I come to is The Partner and despite what some people seem to think no he’s not paying me (although any cash would be much appreciated). He seems to be an author who sticks to a set and regiment style but he makes this style work well. Although the subject matter probably doesn’t appeal to everyone, Grisham ... I chose The Partner, banking on the popularity and success of John Grisham?s books as well as movies. This paperback book, stamped #1 New York Times Bestseller on the front cover, was published in 1997. Working in the field of law himself, Grisham has written many books that fall in the category of legal thrillers. Not very well acquainted with ... Read the complete review

I’ll be honest with you (first time for everything eh!) I’m not that much of a reader, I tend to watch the film adaptation of many novels rather than reading the original source material, examples of this would have to be other Grisham releases such as ‘The Firm’, ‘The Pelican Brief’, ‘The ... I had heard of John Grisham before but had never read any of his books. I won this in a raffle and at first thought about giving it to my father as a Christmas present but I am glad I didn’t, he can have it as a hand me down. John Grishams “The Partner” was about a lawyer that is in a bad marriage and with a law firm ... Read the complete review

Classic Grisham is how I would sum up The Partner. The story involves a Partner of a firm realising he is on his way out whether he likes it or not. Before he gets the push he fakes his own death and steals a huge sum from the Partnership account. The book opens in Brazil when the main charcter's (Patrick) past is about to catch up ... I bought this book as soon as it was published to add to my growing collection of Grisham novels. Certainly not a disappointment! This novel lives up to my expectations and enjoyment of previous Grisham courtroom stories. It is just as gripping as the others with a strong and compelling story line, from start to finish. The excellent ... Read the complete review
