80 NOT OUT is the title of astromener Sir Patrick Moore's autobiography. The book glances over Moore's childhood and just emphasises how close he was to his mother and the devastation he felt when she died in 1981. It's good that the book didn't focus too heavily on his childhood. The book then goes on to centre around Moore's involvement during World War II. The saddest story here was that Moore's love Lorna died during the war and Moore says he could never love again. This is a heartbreaking story and shows the real devastation of war. Surely Sir Patrick Moore needs no introduction. He has done more to popularise astronomy than anyone else ever has. Sir Patrick has been hosting his 'The Sky at Night' TV program, almost uninterrupted for over fifty years making this the longest running TV series with the same presenter.
