He is considered by bobby as a brother he never had and he gives Bobby some of the latest stuff that has not even come out yet on the market. But his family seems to consider him weird even though he does all these things for bobby. Premium Review Sliders Fall Into a Wrinkle of Time (603 words)

Rating:

D. J. MacHale is better known for his TV shows, especially the After School TV specials and his work on bringing Encyclopedia Brown from the printed page to before the camera. Admittedly, this takes a very creative mind, but not necessarily one that is suited to writing books instead of say, scripts for the more visual arts. Products similar to Pendragon: The Merchant of Dea...

Tense, atmospheric, compellingly written Dialogue feels slightly stuffy in places

Quite long, short chapters, good concept Writing too flawed for adult audience

Science fiction with greater depth and credibility It takes a long time to read one of the books, let alone the whole series

some very clever mickey-taking of Australia and it's culture(?) not very big on convincing plot-much too complicated for own good

fresh twists on well known genre stand bys, well thought out presentation best followed on from the first in the series

Informative, fun, witty, warm book Long scripts can be a bit tiring to read

Creative, original, encouraging and fun I can never critisize Oliver Jeffers

The Trumpet of the Swan - E.B. White
insigtfully funny, beautifully written, a childhood classic copies can be difficult to find

Maison Ikkoku - Rumiko Takahashi
Mature relationship drama and hilarious mad cap comedy in a neat package. The English translation very American with original sound effects also translittered.

Rooster's Off To See The World - Eric Carle
Bright colourful illustrations and deals with a few mathematical concepts. None

Mia's World - Mia Dolan
well written and informative, not preach-y or patronising when discussing God and heaven. the odd daft comment from Roz, although dismissable since she's new to it all I suppose.

The Harsh Cry of the Heron -- Lian Hearn
As always a brilliantly imagined world styled on feudal Japan, shame the plot lets this down Often confusing keeping up with who everybody is and a far weaker novel than previous books

Murder Must Advertise - Dorothy L. Sayers

Wild Designs - Katie Fforde
FUNNY, ROMANTIC, GREAT FOR LOVERS OF THE GARDEN! NONE!
