This is a recent addition to my daughter's library, she is a big fan of Peppa Pig, but funnily enough has never seen the show on TV. The reason she is a fan is because every where you turn Peppa Pig seems to be around, my daughter has Peppa Pig pyjamas, socks, vests and even a teddy so she is very aware that Peppa Pig exists, just not on the TV screen! So on a recent trip around Tescos, this caught my Mum's eye and she bought it knowing my daughter was a fan and also that she has other 'Little Libraries' and has always liked them. She paid £2.49. One of the presents my daughter received for her fourth birthday recently was this Peppa Pig Little Library collection. Although she is a big fan of Peppa Pig, I did wonder whether she might have outgrown these types of books but I was wrong. They are definitely books younger children will appreciate but she has happily sat and 'read' them many times too. I think that because each book has only a few words and a simple text, it is easy for her to almost memorise it all which makes her feel that she can read (just like her older sister!). My 21 month old granddaughter loves Peppa Pig but while shopping for Christmas presents there were very few Peppa items suitable for her age, she loves books though so when I saw the Peppa Pig Little Library in Morrisons I picked it up for her despite thinking the £3.99 price tag was a little high for such a small product. The Little Library is six very small board books all slotted together into a cardboard storage box. The box is open along one side so that you can see at a glance what book you want to read to your child and in theory this means you can pull out the book you want without all six being out and making a mess of your living room floor. ...
