Advantages: Very well written

Disadvantages: Lack of fast plot

Suskind is the author of this fiction, which is set in 18th century in France.
We go through the life of 888 from when he was borne to the end of his story. Grenouille has got a peculiarity, he has an extremely acute sense of smells. The plot
is relatively slow and if you are looking for action you will be disappointed.
For me the interesting element of this novel is that the author describes so
well the fragrances and smells, that you would be excused if you had olfactive
allucinations. Monsieur Grenouille is quite messed up and is more of an anti hero than a real
hero, however his final success or failure, with the orgiastic pandemonium
associated to it can also be seen as having some kind of morality message in it
. You can but this book at Amazon for 6.24 Pounds or you can bid for it on Ebay for a lower price for a second hand version

Summary: I enjoyed reading this
