From day one as a Pharmacology honours student I was told to purchase and use this book in conjunction with lectures to improve my understanding of each subject. This book really has really been a lifesaver and a terrific aid throughout my course so far. With regards to the Edition, I am using the 7th Edition which came out in 2007, this edition has full colour which is much easier on the eye than previous editions and there use of just black, white and blue. There is going to be a new edition come out in the year 2009 with another author rewriting the anaesthesia and analgesics sections. Pharmacology is a relatively simple subject to understand but incredibly difficult to learn. Unfortunately, one night before the first year exams I had little alternative! Instead of drowning my sorrows in the med school bar I went searching the library and found this book......
