Goose on the Loose retails as an individual Usborne Phonics book for £4.99. That's a very acceptable price for a book of this quality, but it's well worth knowing that there is a Box Set available which various companies offer from time to time including The Book People. I recently purchased this book as part of the Usborne Phonics Readers Box Set for £9.99 (that's for 12 books including this one!). The grandson was very impressed with this book. He's four years old, going on for five. This book is another one of the great phonic readers series by Usborne books. Goose on the Loose is written by by Phil Roxbee Cox and illustrated by Stephen Cartwright. Within this series there are 12 books. They each retail at £4.99 or you can purchase all 12 books in 2 bound books that retail at £9.99 each. This specific book is about Goose who is on his bike. He can't stop, either that or he is just a really bad driver, and so nearly runs over all the different animals. Finally he ends up in the penguin pool at the zoo!
