... suitable for three to seven years in my opinion. The story is simply of Goose being off on the loose. He's on his scooter rushing about upsetting things in his path as he goes. Finally, just as the animals think they should really stop him, he goes flying beak first into the penguin pool and the story is resolved. The words in this book are all printed in large type, but be aware that there are quite a few of them included on every page. Premium Review Phonics Readers: Goose on the Loose - Phil Roxbee Cox: There's a Goose on the Loose! (424 words)
by - written on 06/05/09 (Very useful, 105 readings)
Rating:

Goose on the Loose retails as an individual Usborne Phonics book for £4.99. He can't stop, either that or he is just a really bad driver, and so nearly runs over all the different animals. Finally he ends up in the penguin pool at the zoo! I actually found this one quite funny in a childish sort of way. Each of these books is based on synthetic phonics - ...  Read the complete review
