There are a couple of authors that I absolutely love and wait in anticipation of their new releases for months at a time. Jodi Picoult is one such author, I can't wait for her books to come out and eagerly pounce on a copy as soon as they come out. She's an American author who has had sixteen books published to date. Her books all share several common themes in that they focus on family, heartbreak and some often sort of court drama as well which is usually the result of a morally questionable crime. Her first novel was published back in 1992 and she shows no signs of stopping writing anytime soon, thank goodness! Now when I came to write this review I ... Read the complete review

Having read lots of good things about Jodi Picoult, I was keen to see if my local library had any of her books on the shelves so that I could discover her for myself. Although I was able to pick up a copy of My Sister's Keeper, the success of the film based on that book must have led to a surge in popularity for her books as this was the only other one available so I decided to give it a shot as the blurb made it sound quite interesting. ***THE PLOT*** A woman is discovered in a graveyard by a police officer, who has just started a new job in the city (LA). She has a slight head injury and absolutely no recollection of who she is and how she got there. In ... Read the complete review

Jodie Picoult kind of exploded onto book lists, one moment no one had ever heard of her, the next she's one of the most read authors around, with fans clamouring for her next book which appears regularly. Picoult isn't afraid to tackle controversial issues such suicide pacts, high school massacres, infanticide, rape, and with Picture Perfect, domestic violence. We are introduced to the main character Cassie Barrett as she regains consciousness in a graveyard slumped up against a gravestone, bruised and a little battered. But strangely she has no idea of who she is. Cassie is found wandering the streets by Will Flying Horse, a mixed race Native ... Read the complete review

Having never read a Jodi Picoult novel before - and honestly never having wanted to - I just happened upon this book in a charity shop & thought I'd give it a go as an easy summer read. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was surprised again to see it got such low ratings on here, mostly 2 stars. I can only imagine that this is due to it apparently not being in line with her other works. I don't like to go into the plot too much when reviewing a book as I don't like to give too much away and personally I like to know a minimal amount before reading a book so I can work out the plot myself as I go along. But in a nutshell this is about a ... Read the complete review

This is a review of the 1995 book Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult, an author that I have enjoyed reading many of her books but some of them do fall a bit short of my expectations and I am sorry to say that this was one of them. A bit about In Picture Perfect, a woman wakes up in a graveyard confused, injured and alone, with no ID and she is taken in by a policeman who is new in town. Together they manage to figure out who she is and it turns out she is married to one of the biggest film stars and producers in America. Her husband comes and claims her, takes her back home to their mansion and slowly her memory is regained. ... Read the complete review
