Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton is the best vampire book ever written. She gives you insight into all of her characters' minds. Guilty Pleasures is about a vampire slayer named Anita Blake. The vampires in the book call her the Executioner. She is a wonderful character. She displays real emotions and is a perfect example of what a srong woman can really be. One of the vampires in the book is named Jean Caude. The way the author describes him makes him seem real. In the first chapter she describes him as having soft curling hair with a white lace antique shirt. She describes him as a beautiful man and you believe it too. This book takes place ... Christopher Pike is one of the best horror writers I have read. His books place you at the scene of his stories it is almost like you are actually there watching everything happen. He seems to have the power to get you hooked. Once you pick up one of his books you can't put it down until you have finished it. He has written a number of very good books which include the titles Monster, Remember me, The last Vampire and Die Softly. My two favourite books written by Christopher Pike are Bury me deep and SATI. In bury me deep basicall a girl goes on holiday and gets alot more than she bargined for. A classic read. Sati is by far the best ... Read the complete review

I am 20 years old and as most Christopher Pike fans will tell you, I started reading his books when I was about 14. To be honest it was through reading his books that first encouraged me to explore horror and fantasy titles. The fact that his books are an intelligent read, ie although it is aimed at teenagers, adults can enjoy them to, means that time and time again you can rely on the fact that once you have picked up one of his books, you will never be disappointed. His books appeal equally to both boys and girls, and although the stories are definately out of this world, you can't help but be drawn into the various twists and turns as each of his stories ... Christopher is in my opinion an excellent writer. I first started reading his books when I was about 16 and quickly ploughed through many of his titles. His books are generally horror thrillers for teenagers. Now, i am no longer a teenager but find that I am still re-reading his books. They are the perfect read when you want something heavier than a magazine but not so heavy as an indepth novel. Favourite titles of mine include:The Last Vampire (this has developed into a series of books) as has Remember Me which is a brilliant read. There is usually something of the supernatural in Pike's books, for example Witch tells about a young woman who ... Read the complete review
