Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton is the best vampire book ever written. She gives you insight into all of her characters' minds.
Guilty Pleasures is about a vampire slayer named Anita Blake. The vampires in the book call her the Executioner. She is a wonderful character. She displays real emotions and is a perfect example of what a srong woman can really be.
One of the vampires in the book is named Jean Caude. The way the author describes him makes him seem real. In the first chapter she describes him as having soft curling hair with a white lace antique shirt. She describes him as a beautiful man and you believe it too.
This book takes place in present time. In the usa vampires are legal and you have to have a court order to kill them. This of course makes Anita Blake's job very hard.
If you like suspenseful scary books this is a great one. It has all the right stuff. It has ghouls, zombies, vampires, lycanthropes(werewolves, etc.), vampire slayers and a wonderfully crazy psychopathic killer named Edward.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Wrong category; this is a completely different book!

I would need a bit more info than that before I'd buy the book but it does sound interesting.
