One of the best things about working in the Children's Library is that we have to check all the returned picture books. We have to look through them all to check that they are ok to issue again ~ to look for rips, scribbles, baby sick and that sort of thing. Often it is a bit of a chore because they are pretty average stories; but, every now and again we find something that is a bit more interesting, and come across a real gem.
