The book is split up into themed sections, so you have a different theme on each page, covering everything from cooking, bicycles, transport, body, doctor, bathroom etc - it has over 6,000 words and is quite a thick little book.

Having just slagged off Polish in 4 weeks, I'm going to recommend this book. Providing you've sussed the alphabet this book will be very handy. It's a book made by Dorling Kindersley, the pictures are good and very easy to use, the words themselves are a bit small and occasionally a little hard to find but it's a superbly easy way of remembering new words and works in both directions.
