___Portuguese Irregular Verbs - Alexander McCall Smith___
___About the author__
Alexander Mccall smith is quite well known and is the author of the no1 ladies detective series books as well as other well known titles.Having read a few of the other books i decided to give this one a try.
I got this book in a set called the 2 1/2 pillars of wisdom -this is the first one in the set and introduces us to the main character Professor Dr Moritz-Maria Von Igelfeld ( an honourable german name which means hedgehogfield in English.
The "story" itself is really short at just over 100 words and is only 8 chapters (on the introduction page they are all written in german). It doesn't really have a plot as such but just follows incidents that happen in the professors life.
So why the book title? -In the book the professor has written a reference book with that title (I'm sure if it was a real book it would make a fantastic read with over 1000 pages lol) and things keep on coming back to how since he is this great author good things should happen to him.
Overall its not that funny but does have enough good moments to keep you reading.I probably wouldn't have bought this full price.
