I have a signed copy of this book from Charlie, and as soon as I read the book I was hooked, charlies life has been full of ups and downs and this book is so well written. Also after writing this book charlie devoted her life to helping people move away from he life of prostitution. The book is very thought provoking and I would dare anyone to try and get through the book without sheding a tear. Charlie was a 17 yr old single mum living in a tower block, she had no qualifications and barely enough money to buy her childs nappies. Priceless is the autobiography of a prostitute. But it's not the usual story of someone who got lured into drugs and turned to prostitution as a means of funding her habit. This book provides a thought provoking and fascinating read. Charlie's early life was a confusing mess. She discovered, when she was around 12 years old, that her 'mother' was actually a foster mother. She had never been formally adopted, and felt rootless. Starting work in a lingerie factory, she became friends with a workmate who was also on the game, and decided that this was what she wanted to do.
