Advantages: A beutifully written story, great charactors

Disadvantages: not good for people who dont like sad endings

I was never one for reading war stories , but after i was recomended this book i thought i might as well give it a go. It was the first Michel Morphurgo book i ever read and i havent stoped reading his books yet.
The story of Private Peacful is a emotive tale of a young boy who adores his family more than anything. Tommo Peacful lives in a village cottage with his mother and his two brothers Charlie and Big joe. His Father had died in a wood cutting incedent that he blames himself for. The story tells of how Tommo grows up in adoration of his caring brother Charlie and how he would never do anythting without him. So when Charlie is told he has to go to war Tommo insists he goes too , even though he is too young. The rest of the book tells of what happens to them in the trenches of world war one. This book shows the mistakes made by the governement during the war, illistating the affects of war on so many peoples lives.
I found this book emotive and heart breaking, its a story i read over and over again, and is so beautifully written. I think that this story is excelent , giving a insight into the lives of everyday soldiers in the trenches and the terrible effects that were brought on by it. This story deals with love, fear, sadness and death in such brilliant ways that it makes you feel like these charactors were really there.
This story is great for teens and adults alike although i think that it would probably be too much for younger children as it deals with death and war. I completely adored this book and i think may people will for years after this.
I strongly recomend this book even if you have never read a war story before, because this story is so much more than a tale of war its a story of one boys life through everything that comes and goes.

Summary: A beautiful heartbreaking story of life and death

Thanks
I think I might write it into word rather than straight onto here because i can see my punctuation better. Thanks very much!

I really found what you had to say about this book interesting, but a lot of typos and little "i"'s didn't make it a bit hard to read (sorry), it really might be worth spellchecking.
