Advantages: Good thriller

Disadvantages: Need to really read earlier stuff

The main character in this book is Myron Bolitar a New York based sports agent who is a former basketball series. This book is part of a series of storiues to feature him however this one was written after a number of years where Harlan Cobenhad not written a Bolitar novel so for someone new to the books there will be a lot of gaps.

Myron makes a promise to two girls that if they ever need his help they should just call and he will be there for him with no questions asked, one of the girls is the daughter of a woiman who he is in a relationship with and the other is her best friend. When the gfirl does ring him up to ask for his help he delivers on his promise however this then makes him a prime suspect in her subsequent disappearence.

He finds that he needs the special brutal skills of his posh frined Win to get him out of what becomes a dangerous situation.

This is a really good thriller which has a number of plot twists and was a book I was desperate to finish to try and unravel all of the goings on. Myron is a cool character and I really like Coben as a writer of thrillers. It would be better to read earlier books in teh series just to be able to understand the characters better but this is a good book all the same and worth reading.

Summary: Great book.
