Disadvantages: will make you cry!

My mum was reading this book on holiday and I could not wait until she was finished with it so that I could have a read! It didn't take her too long to get through the paper-back so I knew it must have been a bit of a page turner! If my mum gets bored with a book, she will abandon it half way through and move on to something better!

I knew this was Ceclia Aherns (the Irish Presidents' daughter) first book so I was excited to see what it was going to be like.
The book had reached bestseller #1 status in Ireland and remained on the top spot for 19 weeks. Quite an achievement for a young first-time writer!

The cover of the book is extremely girly :) a pale baby blue background with white polka dots and then a collection of envelopes bound together with pink ribbon.

I will give a brief plot summary because it is important but I don't want to ruin it for anyone!

The book is set in Ireland, Holly and Gerry are a young, happy and successful couple. However Gerry's untimely death shatters Holly's world completely. Gerry knew he was dying so he prepared 10 letters and left them for Holly to open periodically, to guide and help her through her grief.

Sweetest, most selfless thing ever! Oh and he signs each letter with, PS I Love You :)

I really recommend you to read this!
