Advantages: easily accessible, very emotional

Disadvantages: bit heart wrenching in places

This is an easy book to read I came late to the work of Cecelia Ahern but was throuroughly impressed by her work especially considering her age (just twenty years old) at the time of writing the book as it was written in such a mature way.

The story is realistic and sad in places but offers hope. It follows Holly through the aftermath of the loss of her husband and deals with the complexities of loss and grief in an easy to access way there are undertones of humour and friendship.I particulary found the relationship with her brother interesting as he sets about trying to support her in a quiet way which is completely opposite to her friends way of trying to coax her though it. It also addresses the issues of supporting people through grief and leaves us with hope that things will get better.

It really is a story that can make you cry and then a couple of pages later you are laughing loved the incident on the boat and the karoke incident was amusing too. This book is a real rollecoaster of emotions. I really enjoyed it and although it was slightly predictable in places it was a great read with a satisfying conclusion.

Summary: excellent story will make you laugh and cry well worth a read.
