One of the most beautiful and captivating books every written, I could not help but cry throughout. Many nights I found myself curled up in bed with a cup of tea and a hot water bottle, reliving Holly's pain and rediscovery of love through her deceased husband. This is a wonderful book, a story that inspires and evokes emotions I never knew I had. The film, although brilliant and incredibly thought evoking, does not at all do this book justice. It is a book that should be on every woman's bookshelf for her to read in both times of joy and despair, to rescue one's soul and to convince oneself that the existence of true love is one of the most spectacular and incredible aspects of life. This is a book which I recommend to all women; a book which has had a lasting impression on me. I consider this to be the 21st century's answer to a classic love story.
