Advantages: Cecelia writes in such a way that you can really empathise with Holly

Disadvantages: cant think of one

This was the first Cecelia Ahern book I read, and I read it years before the film was released. I recommend everyone reads the book first as the film is related to the book very loosely.

I feel in love with this book and its one of my favourite books. The book is about Holly who at the beginning of the story looses her husband to a brain tumor. it follows Holly dealing with her grief and shows how she rebuilds her life. Gerry her husband had left her letters to open at the end of each month and this helps her in moving on from such a traumatic point in her life.

Cecelia allows you to empathise with Holly the main character and I cried and more importantly laughed throughout. Its a very dificult situation to imagine yourself in but Cecelia accomplishes this very well. Cecelia captures how devestated Holly is brilliantly and takes the reader on the journey of how Holly manages to put her life back together.

I was so impressed at how the author captured every emotion tha Holly went through. the book starts at a very low point in Hollys life but as you continue to read, it becomes an incredibly uplifting and heart warming story.

Summary: incredibly uplifting and heart warming story
