I was led to seek out this book after reading a review about it. I thought the book sounded interesting and decided to read it myself. Searching out the book via my beloved book swapping site, it arrived not too much later, and I wasted no time in settling down to read it. The book is set in Dublin, based around the main character Holly. She is just about to turn thirty and is happily married to Gerry. Unfortunately straight away in the book we learn that Gerry has died of a brain tumour. This sets the trend for the book. If my mum gets bored with a book, she will abandon it half way through and move on to something better! I knew this was Ceclia Aherns (the Irish Presidents' daughter) first book so I was excited to see what it was going to be like. The book had reached bestseller #1 status in Ireland and remained on the top spot for 19 weeks. Quite an achievement for a young first-time writer! The cover of the book is extremely girly ...
