Wonderful! (The Raging Quiet - Sherryl Jordan)
Member Name: Tsunami bomb
Advantages: Excellent storyline., Wonderful imagery., Easy to follow. Disadvantages: May not be for everyone., Might be too simplistic.
I bought The Raging Quiet purely because I stumbled upon it accidentally and the blurb intrigued me (as I enjoy reading books set in medieval times). I even found the front cover of the book interesting. I bought it on a spur of the moment, and I’m glad I did. The story has quite a simplistic plot; the main character, Marnie forms an affinity with a deaf man, so when the villagers realise she has made communication with him, they suspect she is a witch. I found the story compelling to the very end. It makes you consider prejudice and trust. I read this book within 2 or 3 days, I couldn't put it down. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good book with an effective storyline. Summary: |
