Advantages: great book
Disadvantages: .
Shane Richie is the son of a dustbin man from harlesden.
This book tells of the good and bad times shane has had in his struggle from there to where he is now.
Shane started out after leaving school working at butlins holiday camps, he then stared in a musical performance of grease, then he became a well known face on saturday night tv presenting numerous shows including lucky numbers and the shane richie experience.
The fame went to his head and living a life of partying and womanising lead to the breakdown of his marriage to coleen, from this came the binge drinking that was the downfall of his career.
Shane lost everything but step by step he worked his way back to where he is today.
Shanes story is great to read, he talks honestly of the mistakes he has made and the impact on his life those mistakes had aswell as the problems fame brought with it.
At times you really do feel sorry for him especially as when we see him on tv he always seems very happy but in this book you hear about the other side to his life, the misery he has suffered along the way to stardum.
I think he will always be remembered best for his role in eastenders.
Summary: you realy do get to see the real shane
