I buy a fair amount of reading material from charity shops. Some days you can go up the street, in and out of every charity shop and not find something you really fancy reading. Sometimes, though, when you are looking for a read, you are really looking for something you will be familiar or comfortable with, which results in you maybe giving a really good read a miss - or maybe a chance to learn something about a subject you didn't know about.
